2022 Softball State Champions are Crowned in Colorado

Congratulations to the 2022 Colorado Softball State Champions!
5A: Columbine
4A: Lutheran
3A: Eaton
In 3A, the Eaton Reds defeated University 9-1 in a rematch of two teams who faced off in the state semifinals in 2021. In this year’s semis, Eaton defeated Thomas Jefferson, who rode a red-hot finish to the season to defeat both Limon and then top-ranked Strasburg 10-9 in a 9-inning thrilling game.
In 4A, Lutheran defeated Holy Family in a close 3-0 game after both teams advanced to the finals with 8-2 wins in the semis.
In the 5A final, Columbine – a year after finishing runner up in 2021 – defeated Douglas County 7-3 in a matchup of the top two seeds. The final four featured a powerhouse of all four top seeds – Columbine, Douglas County, Erie and Fossil Ridge. Columbine finished the year with an incredible 28-1 record.
