Catching is the most under-coached position in baseball and softball. Every player, coach, and parent knows that without a good catcher, it's going to be a "long day at the ballpark.” HitStreak is trying to change this by offering the most comprehensive catching program in the area. Here are the two offerings that we are currently offering with others coming in the very near future…
The Brigade
Join The Brigade. Build a Brotherhood.
Iron sharpens Iron! This program is designed for the "Hardcore, All-In" catchers. Created primarily for high school players (and a few committed high performance middle school players), the Brigade is a “band of brothers” working, competing, and training within a community framework specifically designed to engage all aspects of the catching position.
Through focused intensive training sessions we will develop fundamentals (receiving, blocking, and throwing), individual training plans and the ‘INTANGIBLES’ required to lead from the behind the plate.
The Brigade Opening Day Bootcamp
The Brigade has partnered with Push Performance to provide player assessment and mobility screening

1/14: Mobility, Preparation, Set Up, Mental Game
1/21: Receiving - Technique becomes craft
1/28: Blocking - It’s an attitude
2/4: The Throwing Game
2/10: The Specials - Plays nobody practices

BackStop Program
Designed for the ball player who plays the position of catcher but also plays other positions. He desires to improve his craft but may not be ready to “commit” to being a full time catcher. He can be of any age and any ability and should choose the clinic applicable to his skill set and interests.
Look for seasonal offerings addressing things such as the fundamentals of receiving, blocking, and throwing. Also the physical and mental preparation of the position, including confidence, "body language", and leadership concepts. Grounded in the fundamentals, catchers will be given the tools for practice and gameday preparation and be challenged through drills that translate to in-game performance.
