HitStreak - Own the Zone

Core focus:

HitStreak's core focus is the development of the individual player. We stress this concept in our programs, our coaches, and our instructors.

History and Background :

My name is Scott Vatter and I created and organized HitStreak in 2006. My vision and goal was to create a training environment for hitters to reach their true potential. I asked myself this question: " If I were a freshman in high school and I wanted to become the best hitter I could possibly become, what would I need?"

My answers?
Mental training - Baseball is all mental. If this aspect is ignored, you will have trouble succeeding
Vision training - Not only eye sight (20/20) but actual eye-mind speed, endurance, consistency, accuracy, etc.
The ability to train independently - not being dependent on a coach or instructor or Dad to coordinate schedules with
Live pitching- Players don't face live pitching unless it's a game or scrimmage.
Video Analysis and review- You have to see it to believe it. You also need good models.

I researched each and every one of these answers. I learned a lot about each aspect and came to appreciate even more how each one of the items mentioned above are critical for the development of a hitter. I then put together a program that I thought would offer the best solution for the committed player.
