STAFF AND INSTRUCTORS

Scott Vatter -- Owner/Instructor/Coach

Scott attended Rangeview HS in Aurora before receiving a baseball scholarship to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where he played for four years. He was awarded the MVP for the conference in both his junior and senior season.
Scott signed a professional contract after his senior year and played in the Pioneer League for one year. He has been coaching and instructing players in Colorado for over 15 years.



Mike Giorgi -- Hitting Instructor/Coach

Mike has coached competitive baseball in Colorado for over 10 years, covering ages 5-15 and played 3B at College of San Mateo in Northern California. Mike is the General Manager of HitStreak and runs all the Youth Baseball programs at HitStreak, including all HitStreak Competitive teams and Spring and Fall baseball. Along with giving hitting instruction, Mike also coaches HitStreak's 13u Black Sox team.



Matt Darr -- Instructor/Coach/College Consultant

Matt graduated from Denver Christian High School in 1989 as an All-State Shortstop. He led the state of Colorado in hitting his senior year, batting .722. Matt continued his baseball career at William Jewell College and was a two time Heart of American All Conference selection and an All-District 16 selection his senior year.

After graduating from William Jewell with a business degree, Matt spent 4 years as the top assistant coach at the University of Northern Colorado. After completing his masters and all his course work for his PHD in sport administration, Matt spent three years as the Athletic Director at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN.

Matt's background in coaching and athletic administration give him a sound understanding of the college recruiting process and how to assist student athletes in that process. Matt is one of the primary hitting instructors at HitStreak , also be giving outfield instruction and working as a consultant for families going the through the collegiate recruiting process.


Kevin O Connor - Infield and Hitting

Kevin graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2008 after starting at second base for two years and was selected to the play in the Colorado Top 50 Seniors game his graduating year. Kevin went on to be a four year starter and a two year captian in the middle infield at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He earned all-conference honors in both 2010 and 2011. He was selected to both the Division III All-South Region team and the Rawlings South-Region Gold Glove team his junior year. He finished his career with a .302 batting average and 117 walks, good for the second most in school history. Kevin continues to exhibit his passion for the game as a coach and private instructor.


L uke Sawyer- Pitching, Catching and Hitting

Luke played at perennial Maryland powerhouse Calvert Hall College High School where the Cardinals were ranked #1 in the country by Baseball America his senior year. During that season, he was named a Under Armour Pre-Season All American. Luke went on to catch at Anderson University (S.C.) and Southern Wesleyan University (S.C.) and wound up pitching his Junior and Senior year. His junior year he compiled a 1.53 ERA in the stout Southern States Athletic Conference and ended up with a 3.93 career ERA for the Warriors. He lives with his wife Abbie in Littleton as he pursues a Master's of Arts in Justice and Mission at Denver Seminary and is a Ministry Associate with Complete Game Ministries, a Denver based baseball ministry that focuses on making disciples of Jesus Christ through the game of baseball.


Gary Neibauer-- Pitching

Gary has pitched at every level from the little leagues to the Major Leagues. In his 10 year professional career Gary was a starter and a reliever with the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies. While with the Atlanta Braves he pitched in the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets. He was a starter with the Ponce Leones of the Puerto Rican Winter League when they won the Caribbean World Series held in the Dominican Republic.

Gary played his college baseball at the University of Nebraska and was All Big 8 and a Regional All American. Gary believes success on the mound is the direct result of correct pitching mechanics and an emphasis on maintaining healthy arms. Lessons focus on the basic pitches and Gary tailors each lesson to the student s age and ability level. Gary brings a baseball insiders a pproach to his instruction. Advanced instruction on the mental game and the strategy of pitching gives his students a leg up on the competition.


Jason Bates-- Hitting

Jason spent four seasons with the Rockies playing both middle infield positions as well as 3rd base before moving on to the Detroit Tigers, Anaheim Angels and Baltimore Orioles organizations to finish out his career. During his career with the Rockies, Jason was most noted for being a tremendous asset both offensively and defensively.

Before being selected 7th by the Colorado Rockies in the 1992 Major League Baseball draft, Bates was a stand out shortstop at the University of Arizona. Bates led the Wildcats to a PAC-10 Championship in 1992, gaining "All-PAC 10" and "All American" honors for his efforts in his only year at U of A. While briefly in the Rockies minor league system, Bates was regarded as one of Major League Baseball's "Top 100 Prospects" , garnering All-Star status in both A and AAA before reaching the Majors in 1995. After his playing days, Bates was hired as a minor league hitting instructor for the Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations.




Brennan Garr-- Pitching & Hitting

Brennan attended and graduated from Ralston Valley High School in 2002. He was the starting 3rd baseman and the Closer earning First Team All Conference, All State, and All American honors. After high school, Brennan received a scholarship to play at the University of Northern Colorado where he also was the 3rd baseman and the Closer for four years. Brennan still holds the record for saves at the University of Northern Colorado. He also received First Team All-Conference, League MVP, and was honored by the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List in 2006. At the end of his junior year in 2006, Brennan was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 9th round as a relief pitcher. He made the Midwest League All-Star Team in his first professional season. Brennan played at the Triple-A level for the Texas Rangers farm system.
